How can I register at Holidot.com?
If you want to register yourself at Holidot.com to become a user, please click at the header on the link 'login'. After that you will see a link at the bottom of the page 'click here to sign up for free'. On the registration page you can register as a user by using your e-mail address. After completing the registration you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. In this e-mail you will find a link to activate your account, click this link to activate your account. You only have to do this once, so the next time when you visit Holidot.com, you can log in directly with your email address and password.

I received a message that this e-mail address already exists? Now what?
If you receive this message, it means that you already are a member of Holidot.com. You can log in (at the homepage) with your e-mail address and password.

If I click on the activation link, I get the following message: invalid activation code. Now what?
If you get this message, it means that you probably already have activated your account. You can log in (at the homepage) with your e-mail address and password.

Will a membership at Holidot.com always be for free?
Yes, registration, adding accommodations, participating with auctions and all the other services that are offered by Holidot.com, will always be for free!

Logging in
Unable to login?
If you enter your correct login and password, but are unable to enter the website, it is possible that the cache is causing problems.
A cache is a place to store Internet pages, pictures, and other items temporarily. When you return to a page you have recently visited, the browser can get information from the cache rather than the original server, saving you time and the network the burden of some additional traffic. This might be the problem when you cannot log in. To empty the cache and restart your browser could be the solution, how to do this depends on your browser type and is described below.

To Empty the Cache for Netscape do the following

1. Go to Edit.
2. Scroll down to Preferences.
3. On the left window scroll down to Advance.
4. Click on Cache.
5. Click on Clear Disk Cache Now.
6. This will remove all the files currently in your disk cach.

7. Click on OK. 

8. Click on OK again.

To Empty the Cache for Internet Explorer do the following

1. Go to Edit. 

2. Scroll down to Preferences.
3. on the right you will see a window labeled Cache.

4. Click on Empty Now. 

5. Click on OK.

I forgot my password, what should I do?
If you forgot your password you can require a new password through the link 'Forgot your password' on the Loginpage (please use your e-mail address of your account). We suggest to change your password directly after logging in. This is possible through 'Edit my data' in the menu 'My Holidot'. For changing the password you need the password which you have received in the e-mail.

Is it safe to fill in my credit card number? How secure is the Holidot.com website?
Your credit card information is sent to us through a secure server. We use the latest, most secure technology available, which encrypts all your personal and credit card details. This way your details are protected against disclosure to third parties.

Why does Holidot.com need my credit card details?
Your credit card details are only required as a guarantee for your reservation.

I do not own a credit card. Can I still book a room?
Unfortunately all hotels require a credit card to guarantee a reservation. We are not able to process any reservation without a credit card.

Where can I find the security code on my credit card?
The code exists of 3 numbers. You can find these numbers on the backside of your credit card.

Holidot.com makes use of so called 'cookies'. Cookies are stored by your browser on your computer in order to enable Holidot.com’s systems to recognize your browser when you visit Holidot.com again.
